A Country Run by a Dementia Patient

Donald Trump just bombed Venezuela. This is what we get by allowing a dementia patient to run the country.

It’s 5 am. I’m sitting at my dining table and staring at a stack of books behind my computer that I haven’t really looked at for a while. (If you know what I mean about the growth of book piles in your house, you’re my kind of people.) The biggest font in that pile reads Al Gore The Assault on Reason. Those are the words for today’s protest against Donald Trump and the shadowed people who are yanking his strings. This attack on another country is an assault on reason.

Why has the United States president bombed Venezuela? How is Trump allowed to start a war without Congressional approval? What is his motivation? Oil? Will the Republican Congress finally grow a spine and impeach this man who breaks laws like it’s an ordinary Saturday errand he needs to run? Now, it’s not just our own people who are being hunted down. It’s an international killing spree. Will rational countries do anything to stop him? Will they at least sanction his actions?

How many people were killed? How many international laws were broken?

Fuck it. I’m going to remake my sign and find a protest today.

Thank you for listening, jules
